  • Ikat design upholstery fabric set in warm terracotta and wheat colours. Tough seating fabric that's ideal for seating booths, armchairs and pouffes in cosy coffee shops, lounge pubs, boutique hotels and your home. Ikat is an ancient traditional process of resistance dying to produce patterns in the fabric. There are many places around the globe this has been practiced, from Asia to North America. In contemporary interior design, Ikat as a STYLE has grown in popularity over the last few years.

    This is a modern twist on the traditional process and only uses the designs for inspiration. Ikat designs are most well known for their sketchy look bold geometric patterns and zig zag stripes. The blurry edging on the abstract shapes originated in the traditional process where the yarns had to be matched. This extremely tricky process often left the pattern with the familiar sketchy look, which people seemed to appreciate, so it even included in the printed form of Ikat patterns.

    The spicy terracotta and golden wheat colours in this striking zig zag pattern would make a strong visual impact, especially if you create a large statement piece. If you don't want to have sofa or seating covered, try making statement walls in cosy corners. Mix up patterns in warm shades of saffron yellow, deep russet oranges and rich burgundy.

  • Please Note: The visual appearance of fabric and colour may vary on screen between monitors due to the different screen colour settings;

    The actual fabric appearances, textures, colours and quality of your fabric may not be as what you see on screen, the dyeing process between fabrics vary due to way the fabric has been woven, constructed or treated. Another factor is the type of yarn used (coarse or fine), these are key factors to consider when choosing the right fabric for your project.

    Important Point to remember about your colour; i.e. RED may not be the same as our RED, this is the same rule for any colour, you must request fabric samples, we do offer free samples, simply call us to order them.
