New to our satin ranges, this is one of the finest polyester satin's we have seen. The finish is a smooth matt sheen rather than a typical "shiny" satin fabric. The fine polyester fibres still catch the light, creating depth and shade but the effect is much more subtle than typical satin. The quality of the matt sheen gives the fabric an elegant look which works well with either soft furnishings or dressmaking.
Heavier in weight than standard satin, it has a thicker feel which creates fuller, structured drape. So whether you use this lovely satin for interior design or dressmaking, you can create elegant curves with it. Heavier satin is used with formal gowns and neatly tailored clothing. The satin is taut with no stretch, so its easy to cut patterns and create the style you want.
Make the most of both the taut quality and the full draping quality to achieve a smooth or gently rippled look.
