  • New to our wool and suiting ranges, Panama wool blend is a very high quality dressmaking fabric. Woolen Panama has a very different feel from its well known partner, woolen wool, and therefore has different uses. Whilst woolen wool is thick, dense and fluffy in texture, panama is sleek and flat.  Panama wool is popular with smart tailored suits, graduation gowns and lightweight jackets. The fabric has a beautiful drape, this makes it ideal for the  flowing graduation gowns, or full length skirts.

The natural breathable quality of Panama Wool makes a great match with lightweight  jackets for warmer days. The fabric will create a layer of warmth whilst the air can circulate through the fabric. Panama is easy to cut and stitch, with no stretch at all and a taut sleek finish, pattern making will be straight forward. Available in a deep Burgundy colour, a classic shade that will easily mix with deep tones of  bottle green, navy, mustard or russet for an autumnal feel. Or team with cream or dusky pink for a lighter look.

  • Please Note: The colour and appearance of fabrics may vary on screen due to differences in monitor settings and screen calibrations. The actual texture, shade, and quality of the fabric may differ from what you see online. Variations can occur due to differences in the weaving, construction, dyeing process, and type of yarn used (coarse or fine). These factors can impact the final look and feel of the fabric. To ensure you select the right fabric for your project, we highly recommend ordering fabric samples. Samples allow you to see the exact shade, feel the texture, and assess the quality before making a purchase. Colour Accuracy Reminder: Colours can vary—for example, one shade of RED may differ from another. To avoid discrepancies, please request a free fabric sample before ordering.
